Oticon More is the world’s first hearing aid to give the brain the full perspective. This is thanks to a breakthrough in hearing aid technology like nothing before – a highly intelligent Deep Neural Network.
Watch this video about the Deep Neural Network
Until now, sound processing systems have been designed using theoretical models and man-made hypotheses of how to best enhance speech and reduce background noise.
But Oticon More hearing aids debut a new hearing aid technology – the Deep Neural Network (DNN) – that mimics the way the brain functions.
Based on our vast sound processing experience, we have trained the Deep Neural Network (DNN) with 12 million real-life sound scenes. It’s our most advanced hearing aid technology ever.
The DNN has learned to recognize all types of sounds, their details, and how they should ideally sound.
This makes it so much more than a standard artificial intelligence software. It’s a unique and dedicated hearing aid technology, developed for real-time operation in everyday life.
With this integrated intelligence, Oticon More makes sounds more distinct, while working seamlessly across varying listening environments – all in order to optimally support the brain. Explore our BrainHearing™ philosophy here

We broke out of the lab
We went out into the real world with a 360° spherical microphone to collect sounds from real-life situations.
The spherical microphone is built from a number of advanced, individual microphones that are evenly distributed across a sphere. The output from each microphone is combined using advanced signal processing to capture a given sound scene with detail and accuracy.
This serves as the foundation for how Oticon More can process the full sound scene with unparalleled precision and clarity.

To deliver the full sound scene, we have completely redefined the way we process sounds.
We recorded sounds from real life using a 360° spherical microphone.
We used the recorded sounds to train the Deep Neural Network (DNN), teaching it to recognize them.
The DNN is part of MoreSound Intelligence™, which gives precise analysis and balancing of the full sound scene.
Rapid, high-resolution amplification follows changes in the sound scene: MoreSound Amplifier™
Our new approach enables us to launch two new hearing aid features that ensure the full sound scene is processed and amplified precisely: More Sound Intelligence and MoreSound Amplifier.
A quantum leap in sound scene processing
Oticon More features the latest hearing aid technology – MoreSound Intelligence – which captures and optimizes sounds. This provides access to the complete sound scene, where individual sounds stand out in clear contrast to each other.
Scanning and analysis of the sound scene
MoreSound Intelligence scans the full sound scene 500 times per second, resulting in a precise analysis of all sounds and the complexity of the surroundings. It then applies the user’s personal listening preferences to establish a clear target for how to handle all varying sound scenes.
Processing and contrast enhancement
Once the sound scene is analyzed, MoreSound Intelligence precisely organizes the sounds around the user, and then utilizes the DNN’s vast training from real life to process and create contrast between the identified sounds1. The result is a more natural representation of all sounds in a clear, complete, and balanced sound scene2.

Giving precisely balanced amplification of every sound
MoreSound Amplifier is our newest hearing aid technology – a trailblazing, balanced amplification system. It works precisely and quickly to ensure that important details and dynamics are made audible and available for people with hearing loss.
OLD conventional compression
In order to make the sound scene audible, conventional compression technology has applied a “one size fits all” approach. It handles all sounds in the same way, in fixed resolution. This has led to some sounds being over-amplified, others under-amplified, and some even overly compressed, creating an unbalanced sound experience. Not only does this deprive the listener of important details in the sound scene, it also makes it harder for the brain to make sense of what is going on around it.
NEW balanced amplification
In contrast, MoreSound Amplifier is a dynamic and balanced amplification system that seamlessly adapts its resolution and speed to the nature of the sound scene at hand. With a six-fold increase in resolution and an adaptive speed pilot, MoreSound Amplifier makes the full sound scene audible while maintaining the fine contrast and balance between sounds3. This ensures the brain has access to the important information it needs to make sense of sound2, and it is why we believe MoreSound Amplifier is the best hearing aid technology for amplification.
